
Gaillardia
Gaillardia flowers are perennial plants that bloom all summer, characterized by their vibrant and daisy-like flowers with red, orange, and yellow hues. They grow in a mounded, clumping habit, typically reaching heights of 12 to 18 inches. you can sow Gaillardia seeds from January to March, or after the last frost. Gaillardia plants thrive in full sun and can tolerate poor soil conditions. However, for the best results, you must make use of a soil that will allow for proper drainage, aeration, and root development.
Portulaca
Portulaca is one of those annual succulents. These plants love the sun and need little water to grow. Also, the portulaca growing season is from summer to the first frost. Portulaca blooms best in full sun, or at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight a day. Shade may prevent blooming, and flowers won’t open in dim lighting. Over-fertilizing the plants can also interfere with blooming.

French Marigold
Easy to grow and low maintenance, French marigolds are excellent for beds, containers, or as edging plants. Performs best in full sun in moderately fertile, dry to moist, well-drained soils. Some light afternoon shade is tolerated in hot summer areas. Adaptable to poor soils, heat, humidity, and especially drought. Typically, french marigold blooms from early spring or summer to fall (February-September). It takes about 8 weeks to bloom after sowing.
Nasturtium
Nasturtiums perform best in full sun, in average, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Nasturtium is a plant whose leaves and flower both are edible. It is mostly grown in spring end and early summer. Called as ‘Jalkumbhi’ in Hindi, Plant nasturtiums in full sun (6+ hours of sunlight) for the best results. They will grow in partial shade (3–6 hours of sunlight), but won’t bloom as well.
Sunflower
Prefer well drained and fertile soils for cultivating sunflower. For better germination, establishment and growth, well prepared seed bed is required.
Zinnia
The main growing season is from March to June. Seeds need to be sown in early March or April. Start your seeds indoors for a higher rate of success. Germinate your seeds indoors in seedling cups in a mix of cocopeat and compost and place it in a well-ventilated area. Zinnias grow and flower best in full sun. They can flower in part shade, especially in warmer climates with afternoon shade, but they may be more susceptible to disease and have fewer flowers. Soil: Zinnias grow best on fertile, well-drained soils high in organic matter.
